Format specifications


The ISG ASCII format has been introduced in 2015. All the public and on-demand geoid/quasi-geoid models are available also in this unified format.

The file format has been defined to deliver also some metadata. All the information on how to read and write the files are reported in the following specification documents:


Format specification of ISG ASCII format version 1.0.
This format has been introduced and used since 2015.

Format specification of ISG ASCII format version 1.01.
It replaces the version 1.0 for files created since
September 2018.

Format specification of ISG ASCII format version 2.0.
It replaces the version 1.01 for files created since
July 2020.
