Description:
The Uganda Gravimetric Geoid Model 2014 (UGG2014) extends from 2°S to 4.5°N
and from 29.5°W to 35.5°W with a spatial resolution of 1'x 1'. It is a pure
gravimetric geoid model, which was derived from sparse terrestrial gravity
data from the International Gravimetric Bureau, the 3 arc second SRTM DEM and
GOCE-only GGM GO_CONS_GCF_2_TIM_R5. The geoid heights are referred to the GRS80
ellipsoid in the IGS08 reference frame. The standard error of the geoid model
was estimated as 11.3 cm and 7.0 cm before and after the 4-parameter fitting,
respectively (Ssengendo et al., 2015). The format of the geoid file is (longitude,
latitude and geoid height).
